Fleet Feet Racing Team

Brought To You By: The Amateurs Athlete Development Program

We welcome ALL levels of runners

Our racing team represents a diversity of paces, abilities, and experiences. We are a collective joined together by our love of running and drive to always improve our performance.

We are NOT just another running group

Our athletes receive individual attention but in a small, team environment.

Our training goes beyond a running schedule

We offer science-based, individualized training that strategically integrates strength, mobility, and recovery into weekly plans. Strong, healthy, happy athletes make for fast, fierce, competitive runners.

We do this because we love it

Serious about running, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Our mission is to develop athletes to compete at their maximum potential.

  • Annie Hensley

    TEAM CAPTAIN

Annie has over 20 years of running experience, falling in love with the sport at an early age after joining her junior high cross country team. She was intrigued that running was not only about challenging yourself as an individual, but working as a team to build each other up and push boundaries. Over the course of her running journey, Annie not only pursued her own goals but helped coach others to achieve theirs. She particularly has a soft spot for first time half marathoners.

Annie’s current focus is on the marathon distance. Her proudest accomplishment to date is qualifying for and competing in consecutive Boston Marathons.

  • John Lavelle

    TEAM CAPTAIN

John's started running as an adult, after a relatively non-athletic upbringing, out of a desire to get in shape and stay active. But he quickly realized he loved the challenge of training his body and mind to incrementally improve season over season. Over the course of 10 years he lowered his marathon best from 4:18 to 2:59, won two 12-hour ultra races, finished a 100 miler in under 24 hours, and even completed a beer mile in a very mediocre 9:45.

John continues to push the limits of his own abilities and motivate others by cooperating new ideas and strategies into training plans and delving deeply into training theory. John gets super excited whenever anyone is chasing a big personal goal, whether that's qualifying for the Olympic Trials or breaking 4 hours in the marathon. Oh, and as the team trivia expert, you will learn something new every time you run with him...whether you want to or not.
